The Challenge Program, Inc. distributed financial awards to the underclassmen at Clarion Area High School for excelling in the areas of Attendance, Academic Improvement, Academic Excellence, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and Community Service during the 2014/15 school year. The program partners with businesses to motivate high school students to excel and introduce them to career opportunities in their own communities. Janney Montgomery Scott LLC was the sponsor of the program at the school last year.
Underclassmen winners of The Challenge Program, Inc. awards at Clarion Area High School were juniors Claire Saylor (Attendance); Brendan Miller (STEM); Lydia Tack (Community Service); Mackenzie Rhoades (Academic Improvement); and Sophie Wolf (Academic Excellence). The sophomore winners were: Emily Phillips (Attendance); Nick Terwint (STEM); Lilith Frakes (Community Service); Cody Klingler (Academic Improvement); and Cora Zerfoss (Academic Excellence).
